Participating in our forum discussions can enhance your investing experience by allowing you to engage with other community members. To ensure these interactions remain positive and productive, we've implemented a user blocking feature that gives you control over whose content you see.
Accessing the Block Feature
The block feature is designed to be easily accessible whenever you're viewing forum comments. Here's how to use it:
- Navigate to any forum discussion or comment section on Investing.com
- Locate a comment from the user you wish to block
- Click the three dots (⋮) icon displayed to the right of their comment
- Select "Block" from the dropdown menu that appears
- Confirm your decision when prompted by the system
This feature is exclusively available to signed-in users, so you'll need to be logged into your Investing.com account to access it.
Understanding What Blocking Does
When you block another user on our platform, it creates a two-way restriction that:
- Prevents you from seeing any comments posted by the blocked user, both in forums and in chat areas
- Prevents the blocked user from seeing any of your comments across the platform
- Creates a mutual filtering of content between both parties
This comprehensive approach ensures that your forum experience can be tailored to your preferences, allowing you to focus on interactions that you find valuable.
Managing Your Blocked Users List
We've made it simple to review and manage users you've previously blocked:
- Visit your blocked users management page at: https://www.investing.com/members-admin/settings-blocked-users
- Review the complete list of users you've blocked
- Remove users from your block list if you wish to see their content again
Please note that after unblocking someone, there is a 48-hour waiting period before you can block them again.
Additional Community Guidelines
While the block feature helps you personalize your experience, we encourage all users to follow our community guidelines for positive interactions:
- Enrich conversations with thoughtful contributions
- Stay focused on topics relevant to the discussion
- Be respectful even when expressing differing opinions
- Avoid profanity, personal attacks, or discriminatory language
