Investing.com offers 3 different types of charts:
Our in-house developed fast basic charts, as available in the instruments main pages -> i.e. http://www.investing.com/commodities/gold
With these charts, we can see either area or candles price chart with volume pane supported for the relevant instruments. The amount of historical data is limited on the chart and no technical indicators are available.
The candles time with this chart is set according to the user's computer timezone.
Our streaming charts, as available for example at http://www.investing.com/commodities/gold-streaming-chart
These HTML5 charts have many features available within them to include dozens of technical indicators, many chart types to include Bars, Line, Area, Candles and Heiken Ashi, advanced drawing features, a full screen and a screenshot with URL support. For full historical data, this is the best chart to use (this chart also has a fast timeframe toolbar navigation at the bottom left, which is very useful).
Users can save/load their chart templates once logged in.
Changing an instrument is done very easily in the search field at the top of the chart.
The candles times of this chart are according to the edition of Investing.com (i.e. in the Russian edition Moscow time, in the .com - NY time etc.) The users can change it in the settings but once exiting the chart the timezone is not saved.
Our interactive charts -> as available for example at http://www.investing.com/commodities/gold-advanced-chart
These charts have a decent number of technical indicators, four chart types, and standard drawing features.
Users can save/load their chart templates once logged in.
The candles times in these charts are according to the user's computer timezone.
These charts do not support volume display at all.
Search is available on the "More Instruments" menu but it is limited to the instruments' group only (i.e. Forex, Stocks, Futures etc.)
Historical data can be seen here but it is limited (up to 1000 candles).
- All three charts are updated in real-time or with a minimal delay of several seconds.
- All three charts support the display of relevant news and economic events icons on the chart in the shorter time-frames.
